" That Man Looked Like Jesus "

“That Man Looked Like Jesus “
Terry Bell % Terry Harkleroad © 2005

I SAW A LITTLE GIRL CRYIN’ ON THE CITY STREET
EVERY BODY JUST WALKED ON BY
NOBODY SEEMED TO NOTICE HER
AS IF THEY WERE ALL BLIND

I SAW A STRANGER FROM OUT OF THE CROWD
COMFORT AND TAKE AWAY HER FEARS
THAT ‘S WHEN I HEARD HER SAY TO ME
THAT MUST HAVE BEEN JESUS AS HE DISAPPEARED

CHORUS:

Hooked On Life

Hooked On Life
Written by Stephanie McKenna and Debbie Ponceti

VERSE 1
Summer showers on a lazy saturday
Hopping on my bike and just peddaling away
Catching the suns last rays
Hearing a child pray

CHORUS
Oh, it's the little things, yeah
It's the little things,
That's why I'm hooked on life

VERSE 2
The smell of grandma's bacon fryin' on the stove

Sent Together to Heal

I thought I'd go ahead and post my recording of this song here on the website. My friend Wes helped me finish the song and did the production. He's a very talented songwriter!

With all authority
The captives were set free
And by your sacrifice we have been redeemed
Compassion in your hand
You healed every disease

KEZA

This is a song I just wrote for a ministry called KEZA. My good friend Jared Miller started this organization in RWANDA. Originally called SISTERS OF RWANDA, KEZA began as a way to help the women in Rwanda(there are many more than men after the genocide) make a living without prostitution. They make jewelry. It is incredible what God has done there. Please look up the website.

Circles

Circles - LeAnna Mosley © 2006

Wasted so much of my time on pointless questions when the answers were always somewhere in my mind
A stripped down mattress on the floor bearing clothes that I had thrown off the night before
Its crazy how you can get so caught up, wrapped up in the way things used to be
Does it ever make you wonder where's me?

Chorus:

Anyone Can Love Anyone

Hello friends.
I started writing in the 1980's after age thirty. I wrote for love and sang as a servant at writers' nights and Christian coffee houses. After getting a couple cuts on record and a couple of ASCAP checks I got bitter because that was all I got. I turned off the love and tried to live that way. It wasn't very satisfying.
But after a drought God sends the rain. He granted me repentance and I slowly but surely started letting the love flow again.
This song represents one of my threads of art. A kind of holy modal Dylanesque statement.

Waiting For You

A couple of weeks ago, The Lovespies finished the vocals and final mix for our song Waiting For You. (This is Rob's song posted in an entry below that he played for you at the first guild meeting.)

Rob wrote the song after he read the book "The Time Traveler's Wife". The movie based on the book is being released in August, and we are trying any possible way to get the song to the proper people. It would SO be a great ending credits song because it was written specifically about the story.

Well, today we found out that our friend Leslie's screenwriter cousin KNOWS THE DIRECTOR of the movie. He knows him so well, in fact, that he convinced him to cast a little girl in the movie.

AND he is willing to pass on our song to the director! Please say prayers for favor and approval. I'm sure you all know how wonderful it would be to have this happen.

Remember Love

This song I wrote in a band, Tin Charlotte. Matt Davis played guitar. I miss this band very much. The lyrics are bit obscure I know but then it's Rock and Roll.

Remember Love

I can never know when to be there for you
When there's been no one there me
If the truth be told only love can grow
When the heart falls to it's knees

Chorus: Tell me why can't I remember love

Photographs

I have a-lot of songs. Around 3-4 hundred if you count all the bangin around I did in high school. Of worthwhile and lasting quality-let's say around 45-50 tunes. Bluegrass, pop punk, rockabilly, cattle thrash, cabaret, trash ball country blues. Stuff like that. So it's hard to pick one. So I leave you with a little piano ditty called Photographs for now.

Waiting for You

Waiting for You

It’s just one of those things
you get used to it like
seizures or colorblindness

Just what the future brings
is still a mystery, though
some things begin to show more clear

I’ve been waiting for you
I will wait for you
I’ve been waiting for you
I will wait for you

You say that you picked me
but the more I think of it we
neither one really stood a chance
